PHA Safety Committee Meets

The Panoramic Hill Safety Committee held its first meeting on Saturday Sept 18th.   Problem areas discussed included burglary & vandalism;  fire hazard posed by homeless and vagrants; trash & graffiti, and  dangerous traffic.  Solutions under consideration: surveillance cameras and signs;  better traffic signs & road clearance;  private security; motion-control lights;  neighborhood warning patrols, graffiti and trash clean-up. Will try to schedule meetings with Councilwoman Brunner and traffic control experts.  Interested residents are invited to contact the committee:  Ellen Gunther, Janice Thomas, Peter Chang, Dale Gieringer.

There is a small rock slide beyond 777 Panoramic and Panoramic Place. Oakland public works needs to be contacted.
