Auto Theft on Dwight Place

Two vehicles were stolen from a home on Dwight Place around 4 or 5 am the night of March 20-21. The vehicles had been left parked on the street.  One of them had a billfold with credit cards in it.   One of the cards was used at a gas station in Dublin at 10 am Monday morning.

This is the latest in a succession of thefts that have plagued this part of the hill.  Marcos Gandara, who lives next door to the scene of the crime, says numerous items have been stolen from his car port, including a motorcycle and bike.

Marcos says he once spotted a car parked suspiciously at the corner of Dwight Way and Dwight Place at 4 am, which sped off as soon as he turned on a flashlight.

It would seem that the hill has become a known target for professional criminals.   Hill residents are advised to be alert for intruders, especially in the wee hours of the morning.
